Gifts-in-Kind Donation Policy

Christian Heritage appreciates the generosity of individuals, churches, and businesses that wish to contribute in-kind gifts to support our mission. This Gift-in-Kind Policy ensures the efficiency and relevance of the items received and guides donors in making meaningful contributions that align with our mission and the needs of our clients.

This policy is designed to ensure that all gifts are relevant to the work of Christian Heritage and can a gift be easily tracked and recorded by our current accounting system.

Acceptable In-Kind Contributions

Christian Heritage accepts non-cash, tangible goods that directly support the children and families we serve through our programs, most often in connection with scheduled events. In-kind gifts are recorded at a reasonable fair value, and donors may request an in-kind donation receipt.

Acceptable contributions include unopened and non-expired toiletries, backpacks or bags, age-appropriate toys, games, or books, new school supplies, and new or gently used clothing—particularly seasonal items such as coats. Other items or specialized professional services may be accepted when they align with Christian Heritage’s mission and current program needs and receive prior approval.

Christian Heritage reserves the right to decline contributions that do not advance our mission.

    Unacceptable In-Kind Contributions

Christian Heritage does not accept gift cards, household items (furniture, appliances, etc.), or large items requiring significant storage space.
